Dr. Anthony Evans opened the meeting. He told us that he is doing a report for Larry Pasti. There is going to be a big conference at the end of March that initially will be taking ICP to the next level. We will present a strong case of what we have been doing. There was only 15 counties selected out of 62 and 8 out that 15 are actually doing it well, and out of the 8 only 3 were doing it really well. He went on to allow everyone to introduce themselves and say what's new in their organizations. (20 in attendance)

Jeremy Knab, Economic Development, Planning & Tourism Department, began by introducing himself. Jeremy is our new website technician and is currently updating the Cattaraugus County Website. He has already made many changes to the Youth Bureau's Website and the ICP Website. One thing that Jeremy would like to do is to have links to the different agencies around the county. Another thing he would like to see happen is to make it easier for the viewers to find what they are looking for. If you have any suggestions to how we can improve the website, contact Jeremy at JMKnab@cattco.org.

ON-SITE EVALUATION
On Friday, January 28th, key ACT partners met with two evaluators from the NYS University at Albany to discover which unique elements have made our partnership successful. Their findings will be incorporated into a final report to DOH. Unfortunately, we will not be able to release the results of this review for some time, but will make them available as soon as we are able. We believe that these study results will be incorporated into the ACT II RFP, hence its delay.
SUSTAINABILITY
In December, the partnership identified 4 key aspects of the ACT program that we, as a County, would like to continue regardless of future funding. Those aspects are: Family Support Centers, Mini-grants, Youth Involvement, and Community Outreach. Interested partners have since formed four committees - each responsible for developing a plan to sustain one of the four key elements. Three of the four committees are actively working. Additional information will be forthcoming.
ACT BUDGET MODIFICATION
ACT staff has requested a budget amendment from DOH. This amendment, if approved, will shift some additional monies into the contractual line, allowing us to fund a few more mini grants. We will keep everyone posted regarding the availability of funds.
ASSESSING YOUR ORGANIZATION'S READINESS
ACT must periodically assess the extent to which our partner organizations have adopted youth development principles. Last grant year, we asked partners to complete a survey and we are asking the same again this year. Please complete a survey on behalf of your organization. The results will be tallied and compared to those of last year's survey to see if our County is showing growth in this area.

Gowanda has had the 21st Century program since 2000. The 21st Century program focuses mainly on the middle school, although they still do GED and parenting programs. Over the past few years, it has been involved in service projects. The group has made several presentations about high school cliques and diversity in high schools. The group name has been changed to "Gowanda Community Youth" and is now sponsored by Gowanda Recreation Commission.
