With deep regret and sadness, the East Otto Fire Department and the Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services provide the following information on the Funeral Procession information to honor past Fire Chief, current Assistant Fire Chief, and Cattaraugus County Senior Emergency Services Dispatcher Timothy Lexer, who passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Following the Funeral on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, there will be a procession from the Mentley Funeral Home in Little Valley to East Otto. The hearse and family procession will depart the funeral home and proceed on Rock City St (Route 353 North) towards Main St. The emergency services  procession will join in behind the family and proceed onto Court St, then pass the Sheriff’s Office to North 9th St, and then back to Erie St (Route 353 North). From there, the procession will travel Route 353 North to Buelow Road to Toad Hollow Road (County Road 14) and continue North on County Road 14 into East Otto.

First Responder agencies who wish to bring apparatus/ department vehicles to participate in the procession are requested to contact Deputy Fire Coordinator Rob Germain at 716-801-2870 with the agency name and apparatus/vehicles that will be participating.

Apparatus and agency vehicles attending are asked to report to 2nd St in Little Valley (turn onto 2nd St from Rock City St) no earlier than 10:00 AM on August 7, 2024. Upon arrival, a representative from Emergency Services will provide further direction. The staging area will be a short walk to the funeral home for those wishing to attend the funeral.
