MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Cattaraugus County Probation Department is the creation and maintenance of safe and peaceful communities through the enforcement of criminal and juvenile justice sanctions, through the rehabilitation of offenders, through services to victims of crime, and through the provision of assistance to the courts.
The Legislature of Cattaraugus County will meet in adjourned session at the County Center, Little Valley, New York, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at 4:00 PM, for the transaction of such business as may properly come before the meeting.

The necessity for weights and measures standards, and the need for the government to apply those standards to day-to-day commercial transactions was recognized by early civilizations, and the economic impact to buyers and sellers continues today.
Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development will host the 7th Annual WILMA (We Invite Local Manufacturers & Artisans) - buy local event on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10 am - 4 pm and Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 11 am - 3 pm in the Corporate Building on the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds, Little Valley, NY. Cattaraugus County artisans and manufacturers are sought to display and sell their wares at this family-friendly event.
The Cattaraugus County Board of Health meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
In New York State, county Boards of Health are empowered by NYS Public Health Law to formulate, promulgate, adopt and publish rules, regulations, orders and directions for the security of life and health in the county health districts. Boards of Health are also empowered to enforce provisions of both the State and County Sanitary Codes.
