Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services SealInvolved in many facets of county operations, much of our work happens 'behind the scenes'.  You're likely to see us at most large events in the county and during disaster response and recovery.  Our primary responsibilities include emergency planning and management, fire service and emergency medical services coordination, and training first responders. 

The Human Resources Office provides support to the County municipal government and all local public agencies as the local Civil Service agency in addition to the County of Cattaraugus as a Personnel and Labor Relations office.

Under New York State Civil Service Law, competitive job vacancies are filled from eligible lists established as a result of Civil Service Examinations.
