Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of four additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 residents within Cattaraugus County. The department’s active positive COVID-19 caseload is now one hundred and six as there are three hundred and sixty two residents who have recovered from COVID-19.

The four hundred and eighty third confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who travels to Bradford PA for work and attended a benefit in Bradford PA. She works at a healthcare facility and denies being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed cough, dizziness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. She was tested for COVID-19 on October 29th and her test results on October 31st indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and eighty fourth confirmed case is a young female resident who resides in the northeast quadrant of the county, whose parent denies that she had any significant travel history or any direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. The parent reports she recently developed fever, headaches and a runny nose. She was tested for COVID-19 on October 28th and her test results on October 31st indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and eighty fifth confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the northeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. He recently developed fever, sore throat and muscle aches. He was tested for COVID-19 on October 29th and his test results on October 31st indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and eighty sixth confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the northwest quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. He recently developed chills, fatigue, runny nose and muscle aches. He was tested for COVID-19 on October 29th and his test results on October 31st indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The department has begun a thorough contact tracing investigation for those individuals that they have been in contact with and the places that they have visited.
