Attendees applause after Chuck Couture announced that Paul Bishop is the recipient of the Brooks Patterson Award

After a one-year COVID hiatus, the Annual Cattaraugus County Planning Board Dinner was held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the Onoville Marina Park.  The weather was near perfect with clear skies and a light breeze to enjoy the park and marina.

The evening started early for the Planning Board who held their monthly meeting at the park prior to the dinner festivities.  A refreshment hour was followed by a delicious dinner catered by the nearby Hide-A-Way Restaurant.  Everyone quickly lined up to partake in an ice cream cone or sundae catered by Peaches ‘n Cream of Randolph for desert.

Crystal Abers spoke about the creation of the County Planning Board and Onoville Marina Park

"In 1961 the planning board was created by the board of supervisors"

Sixty years ago a three member committee and the County Planning Board had the vision for the creation of the Onoville Marina Park, a “Flagship Project” for the County.  Sixty years later, we also see the potential and growth opportunities.  We need to update our infrastructure, increase our capacity and make this a true Destination for the County.
