Sign for tobacco 21 law in Cattaraugus County

The sale of a tobacco product to a person under the age of 21 is a violation of NYS Public Health Law, Article 13-F: Regulation of Tobacco Products and Herbal Cigarettes; Distribution to Minors. Additionally, the Cattaraugus County Legislature recently passed a local law prohibiting the sale of tobacco and nicotine containing products to anyone under the age of twenty-one (21).

Compliance Check

During a routine compliance check on 6/30/2023, the following store sold a tobacco product to a person under the age of 21:

  • Two Budz, 12178 Rt. 16, Yorkshire, NY

During a routine compliance check on 7/7/2023, the following store sold a tobacco product to a person under the age of 21:

  • She Shed, He Shed - 22 Washington St. Alley, Ellicottville, NY
