A state program that provides employment opportunities during the summer time for youth. Eligibility is based on the household income for the youth’s family must be less than 200% of poverty. Usually the duration of the program is 6-8 weeks. In addition to the youth being exposed to work, each youth receives an educational component which includes financial literacy. For employment opportunities, the youth may be placed with a not-for-profit organization, a governmental entity or in private business.

Outreach times and locations for the 2023 Summer Youth Employment Program are set and begin on May 2nd. Youth that are interested should plan on attending one of the sessions. Participants should bring: Birth Certificate; WORK PERMIT (if under 18); Social Security Card; Photo ID (if over 18). If you are under 18, please have your parent or legal guardian accompany you, if possible.

We will be at the following locations from 2:30-5:00pm each date.
